I've already shown a Project 3.6.5. picture of this location on Robson Street, but I'll probably show a few more over the next couple of months as it transforms from a construction site to to new Forever 21 store.
I saw this t-shirt outside of Bang-On on Robson Street today. These words from Jack Layton's last letter to the country have been spoken and written all week. The truest words I've seen in a very long time.
The memorial for Jack Layton on the steps of the Vancouver Art Gallery may not be quite as large as the one in Toronto, but it was still moving to see this morning. As I was taking today's Project 3.6.5. picture, people came over to sign the book of condolences that will be delivered to Jacks family. There were no dry eyes.
On the cover of every Canadian Newspaper this morning was a picture of NDP Leader of the Opposition, Jack Layton, who passed away yesterday from Cancer at the age of 61.
Whether or not you agree with his policy, Jack should be remembered for his passion and dedication to the public; his commitment to fairness and families. He was the heart and soul of the NDP and it's sad he won't get to enjoy his time as leader of the opposition. A major blow to the political world. Wishing his family peace and closure.
Tonight at The Railway Club: Jesse D and Jacquie B (poster near the bottom of the picture). They were fantastic even if we did have to leave early due to being old and tired. I tried to capture the model train going around the bar near the ceiling, but it turned out a bit blurry... might have to go back.
The ladies only seem to get together a couple of times a year... whenever Veronica is visiting from Toronto.
Tonight we chose Vij's to satisfy our palettes, and it did not disappoint. This Project 3.6.5. picture of Chenoa, Melissa, Andrea, Veronica, Carrie, and myself was taken just after we'd all finished chowing down on an amazing feast that I won't soon forget about.
I did the Grouse Grind today... first time in over 5 years. There's a reason this is today's Project 3.6.5. picture: I looked so awful afterwards, there was no way I was going to let it be captured on film... Mind you, I could have taken a 3.6.5. picture of the ice pack on my knee tonight.
My Friend Jason just spent 65 days riding his motorcycle through all 48 lower states and all 10 Canadian provinces as part of the Answer for Cancer Tour, (ACT). The team's mission was to raise awareness for cancer prevention, as prevention is the ultimate cure.
Today's Project 3.6.5. picture is of myself and Jason just after he arrived at City Hall to have today declared "Answer for Cancer" day in Vancouver. So far they have raised over $400,000! If you'd like to donate, click here.
Picnurbia has come to Robson Street! Between Howe and Hornby, this carpeted oasis sprung up yesterday. Great for sitting, climbing, napping or lunching.
I love the new Gap Kids UK inspired campaign... With the London Riots happening right now, it might be seen as a bit ironic, but I've always been a fan of the Union Jack.
We took Beckett and Nolan to the park this evening on their new Strider Bikes. They then left their helmets on as they chased each other all over the park with the soccer ball.
Me. About me. My Blog. Hmmmm… I’ve been writing stuff down for years now. Sometimes on paper, sometimes in emails, sometimes on Myspace, Facebook, or Twitter, (well only 140 characters on twitter), but I’ve finally decided to bring it all to one place. I’ve thought about blogging for sometime now, but I always thought my blogs should have a theme. I read food blogs, gossip blogs, fashion blogs, Olympic blogs, make-up blogs, travel blogs and more. This is why I hadn’t started one up until now; I have lots to say about lots of topics, but not a lot to say about one particular subject. I still haven’t decided on a set topic so for now I will write about what I know best: me! Well… not just me, but things that interest me. Things I see, read, experience, hear and so on… Since the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic games are less than 3 weeks away, I will probably be writing about them for the next little while. After that… who knows?
The sun'll come out Tomorrow, so ya gotta hang on 'til tomorrow Come What May…
