I bought them on eBay over two weeks ago and have been waiting very impatiently ever since. I could have bought them in Vancouver, and not had to wait the two weeks, but I saved over $150 by ordering online.
Last month I wrote about our monthly Dress Club meetings.
Tonight was my night to host and show off what I bought. This is one of my new dresses that I am quite fond of... just wish I'd picked a better background.
A lot of my friends have turned 40 this year. Tonight I celebrated with my friend Robin. Robin and I met 27 years ago in the 8th grade; we have travelled together, (China, Montreal, Chilliwack), been neighbours, (in Toronto), and shared all kinds of girly secrets.
October 11th: Let it be known that today was the first day of the season that I had to light a fire in my fireplace, (that's right, I have a wood-burning fireplace in my Yaletown condo. Jealous?).
It's cold out... and word is that this will be the coldest winter in twenty years.
Yep... that's right: Pie pictures two days in a row. Today was the first time in my life that I tried sweet potato pie. Complete with marshmallows on top! It was amazing.
A delicious brunch with great friends at the Acme Cafe with the pie as dessert. Sweet.
Earlier today my Facebook status read: "I'm just in it for the pumpkin pie."
Well... that's not entirely true. I was also in it for the potatoes, stuffing, yams, apple sauce, gravy, green beans.... oh and maybe turkey. But mostly the pie.
We went to check out the Canucks open practice this morning; the first time my nephews had been inside of Rogers Arena. They didn't know it wasn't a real game and they had a fantastic time cheering on the team.
Today's Project 3.6.5. picture: Nolan with his arm around Becket and Max in the row in front.
I have been watching the progress of the Forever 21 construction site and have documented it a couple times back in August. Now it's got a printed wall/banner/wrap(?) portraying what it will supposedly look like when it's finished. I'll keep you posted...
I took this Project 3.6.5. picture at Granville and Robson. From what I can tell, it's picture of Vancouver's convicts at the turn of the 20th century. Don't know much more about it though. Anyone have any ideas of why it's there?
On the day after the new iPhone 4S was announced, the world lost Steve Jobs. The co-founder and ex-CEO of Apple was renowned as a technical visionary and an entrepreneurial genius but mostly, an inspiration.
Today's Project 3.6.5. picture: MacBook Pro, iPhone, 3 iPods. Picture taken on an iPhone.
Not sure, but it was on the sidewalk today. Must have fallen from the tree it was under. Pretty cool to see it up close; I wonder how long it took to make.
Today's Project 3.6.5. picture: My sister trying to impress her Beckett and Nolan with her dance moves at the Olympic Village Park. She's almost walking on air, (at least in her sons' eyes).
Me. About me. My Blog. Hmmmm… I’ve been writing stuff down for years now. Sometimes on paper, sometimes in emails, sometimes on Myspace, Facebook, or Twitter, (well only 140 characters on twitter), but I’ve finally decided to bring it all to one place. I’ve thought about blogging for sometime now, but I always thought my blogs should have a theme. I read food blogs, gossip blogs, fashion blogs, Olympic blogs, make-up blogs, travel blogs and more. This is why I hadn’t started one up until now; I have lots to say about lots of topics, but not a lot to say about one particular subject. I still haven’t decided on a set topic so for now I will write about what I know best: me! Well… not just me, but things that interest me. Things I see, read, experience, hear and so on… Since the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic games are less than 3 weeks away, I will probably be writing about them for the next little while. After that… who knows?
The sun'll come out Tomorrow, so ya gotta hang on 'til tomorrow Come What May…
