Project 365 Day 151

I have a small chalkboard in my front hallway. I usually don't pay much attention to it, and I rarely change what it has written or drawn on it.
For the first time in a year and a half, I finally got the chalk out and changed it up for today's Project 3.6.5. picture.

And here's what it had looked like since early last year:

All exercises were timed for one minute.

I hope I can still walk tomorrow!

Project 365 Day 149

I finally got to take the tarps off of my deck furniture today. This is something I normally do in late April, but since this has been an exceptionally wet and cold spring, it had to wait until May 29th, (almost June!!).
Today's Project 3.6.5. picture is of my deck... ready to be enjoyed.

Project 365 Day 148

I am so excited to have these items as my Project 3.6.5. picture today!
Roberto Luongo and Daniel Sedin signed jerseys as well as a 40th Anniversary Special Edition Canucks hockey stick signed by the team.
Alas... they are not mine to keep. They are three of the items being auctioned off to raise funds for the Ride to Conquer Cancer next month.
I've mentioned the ride before; my roommate is participating in it and is still looking for donations to help her reach her $2,500 goal.
Please feel free to donate or if you'd like to bid on these items, send me a message!

Project 365 Day 147

So this is annoying... I bought a new bareMinerals powder the other day, and they slightly changed the packaging. No big deal, except that the new jar, (on the right) is only 8g, while the old one was 9g. I know it's not a big difference, but it's still really annoying. Did they think no one would notice?

Project 365 Day 146

As I keep mentioning: the Canucks are in the Stanley Cup Finals!!
The first game is on Wednesday June 1st and leading up to that, I would guess that many of my Project 3.6.5. pictures will feature the Number 1 Hockey Team in the NHL!
I hope that if you're reading this, you are also a Canucks fan. But if not, I hope you can at least appreciate how much I love them.
Go Canucks Go!!!

Project 365 Day 145

Boston and Tampa Bay battled it out in the Eastern Conference Finals this evening, (it's going to game 7!), and this was the one lone Bruins fan I saw on the rainy streets today.
Don't care too much who will win their series; whoever it is will come in second to the Canucks in the Stanley Cup finals.

This is today's Project 3.6.5. picture.

Project 365 Day 144

Woooo Hoooo!!!

Really not sure what else to write at this time... If you're living under a rock, the Vancouver Canucks won the Western Conference series tonight and have advanced to the Stanley Cup finals!!!
It's so loud right now with people screaming and honking (my fault for living in Yaletown); it reminds me so much of the Olympics and I love it.
Tonight's Project 3.6.5. picture was taken on Granville and Smithe.
Rumour is that game 1 of the Stanley Cup finals will be on Monday... Go Canucks Go!!! We Want the Cup!!!

Project 365 Day 143

Another trip to Maplewood Farms in North Vancouver today. The boys (wearing their Canucks jerseys of course), loved it.
Today's Project 3.6.5. picture of Jason, Chenoa, Nolan and Beckett was meant to recreate one we took last June. Similar?

Project 365 Day 142

Like I've mentioned before, this is the furthest the Canucks have gone in the playoffs in 17 years!! Therefore, especially on game days, there is a good chance my Project 3.6.5. picture will somehow feature my favourite hockey team.
I used my 18-200mm lens to capture this sign that is in a window across the street from me.
Btw: Canucks won game 4 today and are now leading 3-1 in the series. Game 5 on Tuesday.
GO CANUCKS GO!!!!

Project 365 Day 141

Isn't movie theatre popcorn supposed to have more calories than a Big Mac? That must be why it tastes so amazing.
Today's Project 3.6.5. picture was taken at the movie theatre where we went to see Bridesmaids tonight. So so so funny!!
Although three hands are shown here, it should probably just be one, since I ate most of the bag myself...
Bikini season is just around the corner... no more popcorn for me!

Project 365 Day 140

So game 3 of series 3 was tonight and it didn't go quite as well as we'd hoped. We lost 4-3, but all is not lost; we're still leading the series 2-1.
Today's Project 3.6.5. picture of tattered Canucks posters was taken on Cambie & 15th.
Game 4 is on Sunday... Go Canucks Go!!!

Project 365 Day 139

Nothing makes a girl more insecure than trying on bathing suits. I tried these and several other beauties on today. The good news is that I didn't break down and cry in the change room. The even better news is that this Project 3.6.5. picture doesn't include a picture of me in one of these suits.

Project 365 Day 138

I counted 163 Canucks Jerseys on the way home tonight. Several of them were lined up outside the Commodore Ballroom and this guy walked by and high-fived them all. I thought it was the perfect Project 3.6.5. picture.
Btw: We beat the Sharks 7-3 tonight! Go Canucks Go!!!

Project 365 Day 137

So apparently, and according to the signs, there is a sale at Main & 30th this weekend.
I probably won't go, but I do appreciate all of the colourful signage they made for it. Enough that I made it my Project 3.6.5. picture today.

Project 365 Day 136

I have a thing for slogan t-shirts; I don't really wear them, but I love to read them.
I spotted these two on Granville Street today and thought they'd make the perfect Project 3.6.5. picture.
I especially like the Support the Twins t!

Project 365 Day 131

Sometimes on a cold and wet day, all you want is warm comfort food.

Today's Project 3.6.5. is the chorizo penne that I had for lunch at the Bread Garden. So tasty!

Project 365 Day 128

Take me out to the Ball Game...
I don't know what else to say... today's Project 3.6.5. picture is me eating a footlong hotdog at Safeco Field today.
The Mariners lost btw.

Also, here are a few more pictures from today:

Anyone that knows me, knows what a significant picture this is. Enough said.

On the train ride home tonight. I loved that we were so close to the water.

The star of today's Project 3.6.5. picture, Murphy had no problem hamming it up for the camera.

I thought that taking the train today would feel like I'd stepped back in time...
Well, it wasn't quite as glamorous as I'd expected, but it was comfortable, and modern... with free wireless!!

Project 365 Day 124

One of my favourite buildings in Vancouver is the Pacific Central (formerly Canadian National), train and bus station. It's been used for filming in several projects including my sister's most cherished 80's classic: MacGyver.
I was in the area today and had to snap a quick Project 3.6.5. picture.

Project 365 Day 123

I took today's Project 3.6.5. picture in front of the Art Gallery, (VAG). I haven't quite figured out what's going on, but it appears that they are growing food; pretty sure that's lettuce. Not sure who's going to eat it, but good on them for bringing attention to urban gardening.

Project 365 Day 122

I saw this in Starbucks on Robson & Thurlow today (NE corner). I had heard that they were going to start a recycling program so it's nice to finally see it in place. Lets hope it makes a difference and that we see less coffee cups in the land fills.

On the day that Elizabeth May made history by becoming the first Green Party Member Elected MP in Canada, my Project 3.6.5. picture is of a new recycling program in the shops of the world's largest coffee retailer. Hmmm...

Project 365 Day 121

So my Mom told me that her Dad used to tell her that she'd trip over a match stick in a hay stack. Guess who got my Mom's klutzy genes?

This is the goose-egg I got after falling on the playground equipment that I was playing on with my nephews this morning.

It really hurts, and it's my Project 3.6.5. picture today.

What I learned in April

This is April:

1) Playoffs games make me very nervous, and they are much more fun to see live

2) I still believe in true love

3) I really want to win the lotto

4) Vancouver is the most amazing city in the world

5) Doing taxes really sucks

6) Advance voting is the only way go

7) Hockey jerseys are not very flattering on women, but they’re still very fun to wear

8) I’m still loving yoga

9) I love it when my fat jeans are super loose on me

10) I love it even more when my skinny jeans are loose on me

Really looking forward to seeing what May brings!
